The impacts of climate change that we are already facing will only be followed by more uncertain, complex, and daunting challenges in the years to come. The good news is that the climate change adaptation and resilience field has emerged and continues to grow throughout the nation and in California. On the other hand, the field still remains limited in scope and effectiveness and is lacking funds and political support, while the problems grow every year. It's no surprise many adaptation practitioners report higher levels of stress, burn-out, and anxiety.
Join ARCCA for this Learning Session Webinar to learn more about the current state of the climate change adaptation field, a vision of what a mature, effective professional field might look like, and how everyone can help. The session will also introduce efforts to build the psycho-social support infrastructure needed to take care of those who take care of us. Invited speakers will highlight the Rising to the Challenge, Together report and the Adaptive Mind project.
